We have been involved in the horse business for the past twenty years. We were part owners of a training center, Jean trained for several years and Jim was her assistant. After that Jim was a track super in Ohio and Jean became a jockey agent. Soon we both missed the close contact with the horses and decided to get involved in the emerging field of Equine Therapy.  Jim enrolled in a school for equine massage and Jean received training on some of the early therapy equipment.

We began our therapy business with an electro acuscope and a tens machine. After a few years we discovered the Equitonic 3 and now after six years we use it more then any of our other equipment. We find we get better results in half the treatment time.

Most of the problems we treat are deep muscle and tissue injuries due to training, racing, and track conditions, which on the average only require 3 to 4 treatments. However, other injuries such as deep wounds, bucked shins, bowed tendons, joint and foot problems require additional treatment time.

We are currently active equine therapists doing on the average 40 to 50 treatments a week at Calder, Gulfstream and Pompano race tracks.

Treated 30 minutes a day for 8 weeks. Vet estimated 6 months off before horse could train again. With our treatments horse began training in 45 days and ran two and a half months after injury.
